The Victorian Government has established its first LGBTIQ+ Strategy and is now asking for feedback. The Strategy will guide the government’s efforts in achieving equality for LGBTIQ+ communities. It focuses on four ‘directions’:
- Equal rights and freedoms
- Equitable and accessible service systems
- Visibility to inform decision-making
- Safe, strong and sustainable communities
After consultation with over 800 people and organisations, the government is now seeking feedback on whether they have adequately captured ideas which aim to improve the lives of LGBTIQ+ Victorians. You can participate by reading the LGBTIQ+ Strategy Direction Paper and providing your feedback through a short survey by Wednesday 17 February.
