Within the EMR Patient Record, a new “Alerts Summary” tab has been created in the Table of Contents menu (blue section located to the left side of the screen when a patient chart is opened).
The Alerts Summary tab can be found above the “Diagnosis, Alerts and Problems” tab and conveniently groups only the problems that have been identified as Active Patient Care Alerts.
If the patient has no active alerts, the Active Alerts summary will appear blank, with a confirmation message that no active alerts are recorded on the patient’s record.
If you have access to edit Active Alerts, clicking on the blue text in the ‘Alerts’ column will open the documentation and modification window for the respective alert.
Remember, the patient’s alert categories are summarised in the banner bar for face-up view and can also be seen from the Problems List component.
