Medical Infusion Unit goes lime for Lymphoma Awareness Month!

Monash Medical Centre’s Medical Infusion Unit (MIU) turned lime this week in celebration of Lymphoma Awareness Month.

Responsible for caring for patients with cancers of the lymphatic system, the MIU showed their support for the cause, decorating their unit and themselves in a sea of green.

Lymphoma is the most common cancer for people aged 15-29 years in Australia with one person receiving a Lymphoma diagnosis every two hours. Lymphoma Awareness Month aims to raise awareness for this common cancer and ensure no one faces Lymphoma alone.

With the support of Marg Harley, Director of Clinical Operations Specialty Medicine at Monash Medical Centre, Nurse Manager Carolyn Greely coordinated the team to mark the occasion and individual employee treats were made by Ward Clerk Alesha Buckley to thank them for the incredible care they provide their patients.
