Since opening on 20 August 2021, the Sandown Drive Through Vaccination Clinic has supported many in the South East community and administered over 20,000 COVID-19 vaccinations. This is a wonderful achievement and outcome.
Importantly, the Drive Through has provided access for vulnerable and at-risk groups within our community to get protection against COVID-19. Having supported so many people from these groups get vaccinated, the demand for this site has now reduced and Monash Health is delivering more mobile and pop-up clinics to support communities with low vaccination rates.
As a result, the Sandown Drive Through Vaccination Clinic will close on Friday 29 October.
Thank you to every employee and contractor who has supported the Drive Through Clinic for your hard work and commitment to make the Clinic such a success. Every single dose delivered of the 20,000+ vaccinations has contributed to Victoria’s reopening and you have directly supported that.
