From Monday 10 January, Clyde Road will be closed due to train works which may cause some disruption to employees travelling to and from Casey Hospital.
These works are taking place to install a new rail bridge at the Clyde Road level crossing. This upgrade will improve safety, reduce congestion and allow more trains to run more often on the Pakenham line.
Clyde Road will be closed between the level crossing and the Langmore Lane/ Mansfield Street intersection. This road is expected to re-open on Sunday 20 February.
How will it impact me?
These works may cause some disruptions on your journey to Casey Hospital.
- Road detours, reduced speed limits and increased travel times will be expected throughout the area.
- Buses will replace trains on sections of the Cranbourne and Pakenham lines from 8.30 pm Tuesday 11 January until last service Sunday 6 February.
- Some local roads will also be closed at Clyde Road.
Please consider this road closure when travelling to Casey Hospital after 10 January and leave enough time to accommodate traffic delays.
