Monash Health is committed to supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients, employees and community at all times throughout the year but would like to highlight the additional challenges faced around 26 January.
Monash Health acknowledges the impact that 26 January has on the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, and that not all communities commemorate this date with the same perspective.
We ask you to be mindful of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community (members) that access our services and our fellow colleagues, when we acknowledge this date, to ensure we do so respectfully and in a way that is inclusive of all perspectives.
