On Monday we celebrated the first step in our phased return of teams to our Moorabbin site.
It has been 22 months since the Moorabbin site first commenced redeployment of inpatient nursing staff to other Monash Health sites to support the Monash Health COVID-19 workforce needs. The Code Brown response required further redeploying of all inpatient, theatre, SSU, Day Procedure Centre nursing and support staff 12 weeks ago.
As part of our phased approach, some of our teams returned to Moorabbin once again to provide care to our surgical and medical oncology patients.
The returning teams were welcomed with decorated flags with messages of thanks and support, thoughtfully put together by their Moorabbin and Peter Mac colleagues.
We look forward to seeing all the Moorabbin team back soon as we continue planning towards full-capacity operations.
