Kindness and caring form the centre of Patient Experience Week

Patient Experience Week (25-29 April) provided a timely reminder of all the fantastic work done by Monash Health employees to exceed patient expectations. As well as pop up displays across our sites showcasing aspects of patient experience, a number of events explored how patient experience can be brought to the forefront and inform our healthcare practice.

In the Medical Grand Round, Director of Medical Services Anand Ponniraivan led a discussion titled “Through their eyes: turning personal experience into change”, while a special edition Schwartz Round explored the personal and professional experiences of staff members who navigated loss with families.

A huge congratulations goes to all the Consumer Participation Poster Competition winners. Consumer Advisory Committee Chairperson Viv Interrigi awarded the prizes at the Employee Forum on 26 April,

“All of the posters were fantastic, and if we could have a prize for every entry, we would,” says Viv.

You can check out the winning posters in the table below.

Following on from Patient Experience Week, we look forward to Accreditation in August. Get in touch with the Patient Experience team if you have any questions about Partnering with consumers, standard 2 of our National Accreditation Standards.
