Be brave. Make change.

We want to know what events your team is planning for National Reconciliation Week.

National Reconciliation Week is marked between 27 May and 3 June. These dates commemorate two significant milestones in the reconciliation journey— the successful 1967 referendum, and the High Court Mabo decision.

National Reconciliation Week is a time for us all to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.

Reconciliation is not only our words, but our actions. The theme of this year’s Reconciliation Week challenges you to “Be brave. Make change.”

If you’re already planning an event, activity or action, make sure you let our Aboriginal Health team know! And if you need some inspiration, check out the Events page on the National Reconciliation Week website.

By Thursday 12 May, send an email to alix.parsons@monashhealth.org including:

  • Your event name
  • An event description
  • Date/Time
  • Location (in-person or online)
