Monash Health’s new sourcing and procurement system

Monash Health will transition to a new technology system for buying goods and services and managing contracts.

The new system, known as Zycus, will change the way we:

  • Buy goods and services
  • Interact with suppliers to maintain catalogues and other compliances
  • Conduct our sourcing events (Request For Quotes [RFQ] and Tenders), finalise and execute contracts
  • Improve the way we monitor and improve contract performance
  • Receive and process invoices for payments

We will implement the new system using a phased approach. The first phase will primarily impact employees conducting sourcing events, evaluating tenders, negotiating, authoring contracts, contract approvals, or e-signatures on contracts.

What does this mean for your team?

Over the next few weeks, your team(s) will be asked to participate in training to support the successful adoption and implementation of the new system.

Training requirements will differ for employee groups. Department heads or team leads will receive a follow-up email with more information and training schedules for their teams.

We will also contact individual employees with further details regarding their training requirements.

We look forward to your support as we make this important improvement to enhance your procurement process at Monash Health.
