Winter is only just starting, and we are already seeing increased community prevalence of Influenza. Even more so than usual, it is essential that employees get a free flu vaccination as soon as possible to ensure we protect our patients, our loved ones, and ourselves.
Who should get a Flu Vaccination?
All Monash Health employees are required to get vaccinated for Influenza – this ensures we reduce spread in the hospital system as well as the community.
When should you get vaccinated?
You should get vaccinated against Influenza as soon as you can.
Unlike previous years, the 2022 flu season started early. While 2021 saw 110 laboratory-confirmed influenza cases in Victoria, currently 14,371 cases have been notified to date in 2022, so don’t delay getting your vaccination.
