Congratulations to the Monash Health radiology registrar team for fantastic examination results at both part I and part II 2022 FRANZCR (Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists) exam series. Six exam components were successfully cleared out of a total of eight amongst four trainees at the part I examination. A total of 53.5 exam components were successfully cleared out of a total of 61 exam components amongst seven trainees at the part II examination.
Dr. Nicholas Karsz, 5th-year radiology registrar, is the proud recipient of the HR Sear Award for being the most successful candidate at the FRANZCR 2021 examination.
Nicholas reflected on the time in the lead-up to the exams, with the study period taking place in 2020 and 2021.
“It was obviously a difficult time…pretty much the height of COVID, so there were a lot of modifications in place. It was quite challenging.”
Nicholas credits the radiology department for being quite adaptive with how things ran, his consultants and directors of training for going the extra mile, and his fellow registrars for being very supportive of each other.
The Monash Imaging department is very proud of its registrars on their brilliant success!
