For our patient-facing employees, N95 mask fit testing is an annual requirement. You can check your fit test card to find out when you are due for your annual refit.
Please complete your annual refit before your test results expire. This will ensure you are ‘COVID Fit’ for work and Accreditation-ready. To make the process easier for you, most refit appointments don’t take as long as the original fit tests.

Conditions of fit testing and wearing an N95 mask
Employees must be clean shaven for their fit test and subsequently whenever they are required to wear an N95 respirator. Employees should not be wearing an N95 mask with a beard or stubble, as it interferes with the facial seal of the mask.
Employees who are unable to be clean shaven for cultural or religious reasons are invited to participate in the RMH Singh Thatta technique mask trial. Employees who are participating in the trial will be wearing an occlusive band to contain the beard and will be working in a low-risk environment.
All other employees must be clean shaven when wearing an N95 mask. All managers are encouraged to ensure their team are following the Respiratory Protection Program procedures and policies, including the requirement to be clean shaven.
