Ensuring our patient beds are regularly serviced helps keep our patients safe and prevents bed breakdowns causing disruptions to our delivery of care.
For our engineering team, it’s often difficult to access and monitor beds in high-risk areas including our ICUs or COVID wards. That’s why we’re calling on our clinical teams, to help monitor the service dates of our patient beds.
How do I know if a patient bed is due for a service?
If the bed has an ORANGE or BLUE ARJO sticker on it (as per below), then the bed is within its service date.

If the patient bed has any other colour ARJO sticker on it (other than ORANGE or BLUE), then the bed is outside its service date, and you should request that it be serviced.
How do I request a patient bed to be serviced?
If a patient bed is due to be serviced, raise a BEIMS request and a member of the Engineering team will action your request.
