Parking blitz at Monash Medical Centre and Monash Children’s Hospital

What is happening?

  • An increase in the number of vehicles parked outside of designated parking bays has been noticed across the MMC site, in particular the Eastern service road under Block R (TRF)
  • A Parking Blitz will take place at Monash Medical Centre and Monash Children’s Hospital to infringe vehicles parked illegally on our internal service roads and public parking spaces.

Our parking infringement officers will be looking for:

  • vehicles parked where No Stopping or No Parking signs are in place
  • vehicles parked outside of marked parking bays
  • non-commercial vehicles parked in Loading Zones
  • vehicles overstaying the signed parking time limit
  • vehicles parked in accessible spaces without a council issued permit on display.

How will this Blitz impact me?

  • Vehicles parked illegally at any time of day or night will receive a Parking Infringement Notice (PIN) which incurs a monetary fine.

What about safety?

  • No Stopping and No Parking areas are defined to provide safe unobstructed roadways, providing clear visibility of oncoming and turning traffic, and pedestrians
  • Vehicles parked outside of marked parking bays block sightlines of other vehicles and pedestrians.

How do I obtain more information?

Please contact Site Liaison Officer David Moyle in our Site Management team if you have a question about this parking blitz.
