PCR testing for employees: what you need to know (and do)

PCR testing continues to be available for all our symptomatic employees.

Symptomatic employees (who have had a negative RAT but continue to be symptomatic) can get priority COVID-19 PCR testing from Dandenong Pathology Collection Centre.

What you need to know

Please ensure you access and use this service safely to keep each other and our patients safe.

  • Priority COVID-19 PCR testing is only for symptomatic employees who have had a negative RAT but continue to be symptomatic.
  • On arrival, please wait in the air lock at the West entrance (details below), do not wait in the waiting area with other patients.
  • If you have COVID-19/flu-like symptoms, please do not attend work.

What you need to do

  • Bring your Employee ID, your Medicare card and wear an N95 mask.
  • Drive up through the circular driveway off David Street.
  • Enter Dandenong Hospital through the West entrance, into the air lock*.
  • Ring the doorbell alerting the Pathology collection team (so that the employee is escorted into the pathology collection centre).
  • Fill out a pre-populated Request form.
