Nominations and applications for the 17th annual Nursing and Midwifery Awards and Scholarships (NAMAS) are now open!
The NAMAS are a highlight of the nursing and midwifery calendar and a wonderful opportunity to celebrate and formally acknowledge the outstanding achievements of our Monash Health nurses and midwives.
At Monash Health there are over 9,500 nurses and midwives providing outstanding care to our patients and community. Throughout this month we will also welcome an additional 776 graduate nurses and midwives working across our campuses and programs.
Monash Health nurses and midwives demonstrate great care, compassion, agility, and resilience every shift, every day. Now is the time to highlight and recognise their dedication and achievements.
How to make an award nomination or scholarship application
- Head to the STAR portal
- Select NAMAS 2023 from the drop-down menu

The award categories are:
- Foundations of Nursing/Midwifery Care (Individual)
- Nursing / Midwifery Practice Innovation (Individual)
- Nursing / Midwifery Wellbeing, Support and Connection (Individual)
- Emerging Nursing / Midwifery Leader Award (Individual)
- Nursing / Midwifery Leadership Achievements (Individual)
- Team Excellence Award (Team)
The scholarship categories are:
- Research
- Study Tour
- High Impact Short Course
