Anyone can join us at Midsumma! Bring along your loved ones to walk behind the Monash Health banner – friends, partners, families, and children are all welcome.
This is an opportunity to show our care and support for members of the Rainbow Community, be it family, friends, patients or ourselves, goes beyond hospital and health service doors.
Register for the March
To receive information about marching with us, fill out the form to register your interest.
You can join the Midsumma Pride March to march with those who can, and in solidarity for those who cannot. If you’d prefer not to join the march, you can come along and cheer your colleagues, friends and family on the sidelines.
Where to meet
Marchers’ Assembly is at the Ian Johnson Oval on the corner of Lakeside Drive and Fitzroy St – look out for our Pride in Care banner:

We will be marching in position J33, after Cancer Council Victoria. Please be mindful there will be road closures and limited parking around the parade route. There is an accessible drop-off point opposite the oval on Lakeside Drive.
How to show your Pride at Pride
While representing Monash Health, it’s important to be mindful of our position in the community. As trusted providers of essential healthcare, we show our pride with respect for all ages.
Dress for flair or for comfort while you march – colours and sparkle are always welcome! We’ll have buttons available to wear on the day for extra cheer.
Stay sun smart – we will provide sunscreen and water on the day, but we recommend you bring a hat and long sleeves to keep the rays away.
Monash Health Gender Clinic and SECASA at the Midsumma Carnival
On Sunday 19 January, the Monash Health Gender Clinic, a service for trans, gender diverse and non-binary (TGDNB) people, held a stall at the Midsumma Carnival in Alexandra Gardens for the fourth time.
The Gender Clinic staff were happy to be back once again after being absent due to pandemic restrictions.
Gender Clinic staff and a Consumer Advisory Panel member answered questions, informed about services and facilitated a community artwork to be displayed in the clinic’s waiting area.
For enquiries, including referrals and consultations, send an email to genderclinic@monashhealth.org, call 9556 5216, or visit the website at https://monashhealth.org/services/gender-clinic/.

SECASA (South Eastern Centre for Sexual Assault and Family Violence) also held a stall at the gardens during the Carnival, talking with the community and putting faces and names to their vital services. To find out more about SECASA and the support they offer, visit their website at https://www.secasa.org.au/
