A big thank you to everyone who provided feedback via our Workforce Strategy suggestion box, virtual drop-in sessions, and local area meetings.

As the experts in what works for you and your teams, your enthusiasm and the constructive ways you engaged with this process will help us develop a workforce strategy (and Action Plan) that will support our current workforce and develop our teams of the future.

With the consultation phase now closed, we have heard your ideas and we are now reviewing and incorporating your feedback.

In the coming weeks, we will develop a Workforce Strategy that outlines our vision, commitment and goals for our workforce. In addition, a supporting Action Plan will establish a consistent direction and guidance for workforce planning and decision-making at Monash Health.

Together, they will provide a clear and common direction for us to work towards and ensure we continue to support our current workforce and develop our workforce for the future.

We will make small and large changes. We will put short and long-term initiatives in place.

It is about finding the right balance to allow for flexibility as well as improving career progression, retention, and succession.

With a large and growing community in the South East, we want to have the right people in the right jobs, reaching their full potential to ensure our workforce continues to deliver the best possible care.
