This week we proudly launched our new Disability Strategy and Action Plan 2023 – 2027.
We were joined at the launch by Chris Varney, Chair of the Victorian Disability Advisory Council, along with a panel of our employees and consumer advisors with different experiences of disability, as they shared their lived experience.
As part of our commitment to accessibility, multiple versions of the Disability Strategy and Action Plan 2023 – 2027 are now available, such as Easy Read and Auslan. You can view all digital versions of the plan on our website.
In line with the principle ‘nothing about us, without us’, we undertook a thorough consultation and feedback process throughout the development of the plan, with the assistance of our Equity and Inclusion Disability Subcommittee and Disability Consumer Advisory Group.
Our Disability Strategy and Action Plan provides a roadmap for Monash Health to ensure we break down barriers to healthcare access and employment for people with disability by upholding their rights, celebrating diversity, and expanding opportunities for all to belong and control their lives.
