We are taking a proactive approach to safety, providing you with key practical information to equip you to do your job safely and promote a positive culture of safe work practice to ensure you go home safely each day.
All employees are required to complete the mandatory training on LATTE – ‘Move Smart – Introduction to Manual Handling’, then complete the online ‘Move Smart’ quiz by 1 October 2023.
In addition, some teams may need to complete additional discipline-specific LATTE training modules.
For most clinical areas, your Unit Move Smart Champions (Nursing, Midwifery and/or Theatre Technicians) will provide support, coaching and training to assist you to work safely and effectively.
The Move Smart manual handling program ensures that your teams gain practical knowledge and develop skills to perform correct posture and lifting techniques during manual handling tasks, in your role at Monash Health.
