Centre for Alcohol Policy Research lands Linkage Grant

Monash Health is pleased to announce that an Australian Research Centre Linkage Grant has been awarded to the Centre for Alcohol Policy Research (CAPR) at La Trobe University.

The CAPR is a collaborative research group and Professor Diana Egerton-Warburton, Director of Emergency Medicine Research at Monash Medical Centre and Co-Chair of Monash University’s and Monash’s Emergency Research Collaborative (MERC), is a project lead for Monash Health.

“This project will build on Monash Health’s strong national leadership in alcohol harm research and policy,” Professor Egerton-Warburton said.

The grant will be used for a three-year long study of the costs and harm from others’ drinking. The research will help to better understand the impact of these harms and prevention.

This success recognises the CAPR’s contribution to understanding and enhancing public health and research excellence.

Monash Health is incredibly proud of Diana’s ongoing contribution to emergency medicine.
