Recognising the contributions of our colleagues is vital to creating high performing teams. Research has shown a direct link between healthcare employee satisfaction and patient satisfaction. In last year’s People Matter survey, only 55% of our people felt they received adequate recognition for their contributions and accomplishments.
Acting on last year’s People Matter results, in February Monash Health launched the STAR Recognition Portal to Say Thanks and Recognise our people’s contribution. Since the portal’s launch the Quarterly Excellence awards and NAMA awards have received 230 nominations during Quarter 3. We will be celebrating those nominations in iNews over the coming weeks.
The STAR program is based on an easy to use online portal that can be accessed from any device. It makes it easy to recognise your colleagues and complete a nomination for their contributions and accomplishments. The STAR awards portal brings together the Quarterly Excellence awards, the NAMAS (Nursing and Midwifery Awards) and NAMAS scholarship applications in one place. Over 600 of our people have already signed up to the portal; One account is all you need to nominate and thank your colleagues.
