Sunday 5 May is International Day of the Midwife an important day to acknowledge and celebrate the hard work and dedication of Midwives across the world. The theme for 2019 is “Midwives: Defenders of Women’s Rights”. This theme is to highlight the vital role that Midwives play in fighting, protecting and defending the rights of women and girls no matter the circumstance and consequences.
At Monash Health our Midwives assist in the delivery of over 10,000 births each year across our Maternity services. We thank all Midwives at Monash Health for their ongoing dedication, passion and care.
