Sunday 12 May is International Nurses Day, a day to celebrate the contribution of nurses around the world and the 7,141 we have here at Monash Health.
The theme for this year is ‘Nurses a voice to lead: Health for all’. For Health for All to be achieved there must be a transformation in the approach to health and wellbeing.
As one of the most trusted and respected health professions, nursing has a pivotal role to addressing the multiple health challenges that are being faced all over the world.
More information around the role of nurses in health care access is available on the International Council of Nurses webpage.
Thank you to all nurses for the essential work you do every day, caring for patients, their families and the wider community. We hope you take some time to reflect and celebrate.
