Celebrating IDAHOBIT

Today is International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT).

At Monash Health we are committed to creating a safe space for our staff, volunteers, patients, families and members of the community, regardless of their gender identity and sexual orientation.

To mark the day, we came together to share lunch, heard from guest speaker Michelle ShepPard, participated in a Q&A and enjoyed a movie screening of ‘The Coming Back Out Ball.’ Together, we can build a better world for the LGBTIQ+ community.

If you would like to join one of the subcommittees, the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender & Intersex (LGBTI+) and Disability subcommittees are currently looking for new members.

Please get in touch:

LGBTI + – Denise.owen@monashhealth.org

Disability – Bronwyn.Harding@monashhealth.org
