National Volunteer Week 20-26 May

National Volunteer Week is an annual celebration to acknowledge the generous contribution of volunteers.

In celebration, Volunteering Australia has announced the theme for National Volunteer Week 2019 is “Making a world of difference”. The theme represents the millions of volunteers who make a profound impact in their communities and on society.

Volunteers have a long history at Monash Health dating back to the 1850’s. At Monash Health, we recognise that volunteers bring incredible strength to our organisation; assisting staff to deliver the very best care and supporting patients and their families during what can be the most challenging of circumstances. We know that volunteers can significantly improve the experience of patients and visitors, and as such, we are extraordinarily grateful.

Please take some time during the week to thank and acknowledge the many Monash Health volunteers.
