Casey Maternity receives generous donation

The Maternity ward at Casey Hospital recently received a generous $7,000.00 donation from the Berwick Opportunity Shop.

The donation will be used to purchase a Transcutaneous Bilirubin Meter. This is a meter that measures levels of bilirubin in babies in a non-invasive method and will significantly reduce the need for midwives to take blood from babies.

“We are so appreciative of the generosity of Berwick Opportunity shop. This donation will significantly improve the patient experience for both patient and families at Casey Hospital.” said Director of Clinical Operations for Women’s at Casey Hospital, Helen Diamandis.
