As part of NAIDOC week 2019, on Monday 8 July Richard Frankland presented to our senior leadership team to help Monash Health progress in our journey towards reconciliation.
Richard is a proud Gunditjmara man and is one of Australia’s most experienced Aboriginal singer/songwriters, authors and film makers. He has 20 years’ experience in public speaking, presentation workshop delivery and has recently appeared in the Deadly questions and treaty advertisements on TV.
Richard discussed cultural awareness and cultural safety in relation to Aboriginal people and healthcare, and what our senior leaders can do to ensure we are providing a culturally safe and responsive service.
