On Thursday 22 July staff on ward 44 at Monash Medical Centre organised a morning tea to support their colleagues taking on the Dry July challenge this month.
Ward 44 is the home ward for Haematology patients at Monash Medical Centre. This year 12 team members are participating in the challenge, specifically fundraising for haematology related cancer patients.
The team are currently fundraising for the campaign, and will then submit a written grant application to the Dry July Foundation, to receive funding to create a patient and family escape space on the ward. You can learn more here.
So far the team have raised over $4,000. We wish them all the best for the rest of Dry July and later this year when they apply for their grant.
