The Supporting LGBTIQ health award recognises initiatives taken to overcome barriers to LGBTIQ inclusive healthcare.
Congratulations to Riki Lane, Jaco Erasmus, Birgit Mumelter, David Colon Cabrera and past and present members of the Community Advisory Panel for their work on , Nothing about us, without us: Gender Clinic consumer co-design.
The Monash Health Gender Clinic is a specialist public health service for adult trans, gender diverse and non-binary (TGDNB) people in Victoria and Tasmania.
A Consumer Advisory Panel (CAP) was established in 2016 to empower consumer co-design in planning, implementation and evaluation of health interventions that influence TGDNB people’s lives.
The panel has helped transform the Clinic’s service delivery, clinical practice, physical space and diagnostic framework and significantly improved access, care, education and outreach.
