After many years of careful planning and intensive training, we’ve gone live with the Electronic Medical Record at Dandenong Hospital.
As of 7.00pm tonight, we had our first consumer records securely entered electronically.
In a major milestone day for us at Monash Health, our surgical services and surgical wards switched on the EMR, with our first entry occurring in our Day Treatment Centre just after 7.00am this morning.
Our Clinical Transition Teams safely and accurately transcribed the information of 79 consumers across seven wards including our four multi-day surgical wards, the Day Treatment Centre, and Maternity and Paediatric wards – a major achievement as we complete day one.
Chief Executive Andrew Stripp said the success of the day was the result of our employees’ enthusiasm, dedication and multi-discipline collaboration across the organisation.
“On behalf of the organisation, I’d like to thank everyone who has contributed. The commitment you have shown in preparing yourselves, and your consumers, for this transformation, has been impressive and vital to the success of this program.”
