Supporting teens fight against cancer

Yesterday afternoon we held the annual Ricky Taylor Fashion Clinic for our adolescent patients at the Monash Children’s Cancer Centre.

Each month we host an Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) Clinic in partnership with The Ricky Taylor Foundation Inc., a non-profit organisation that provides support to teenagers diagnosed with cancer at Monash Children’s Hospital.

The Ricky Taylor Foundation sponsors the AYA Clinic to provide young adults with a safe and age appropriate environment to enjoy activities, interact with other patients and learn how to deal with what they are going through

Special guest Nathan Charles, former Australian Rugby Union player, Australian Ninja Warrior contestant and national ambassador for Cystic Fibrosis, shared his personal battle with CF.

Nathan inspired our patients to have a positive mindset and motivated them to achieve their goals by focusing on their journey.

Everyone enjoyed a delicious dinner kindly provided by the Koala Kids Foundation and tried on new, trendy clothes donated by the Ricky Taylor Foundation.

Country Road also generously donated jumpers and bags to all of our patients from their new teen line.

Thank you to our wonderful team, sponsors, Nathan Charles and the Ricky Taylor Foundation for supporting our patients in their fight against cancer.
