Progress at Casey Hospital

A crucial step has been taken as part of the Casey Hospital Expansion Project.

A range of commissioning tests are expected to be completed soon in the new theatre environment.

It is expected that Casey teams can commence transitioning operating suites to the new environment on Monday 23 September.

The transition process will occur over several weeks.

“Importantly, this milestone will enable the builders to access the old operating suite and upgrade these facilities with the construction of two new operating rooms and procedural rooms,” said Andrew Stripp, Chief Executive.

“I also want to acknowledge the professionalism of the surgical team as we have worked our way through the delay in the successful commissioning of the new operating suite,” Mr Stripp said.

“Thank you for your understanding and patience.”

More information about the transition process will be distributed to Casey staff over the coming days.
