Non-EMR sites – remember to complete VIEW ONLY training

Our Clayton sites – Monash Medical Centre, Monash Children’s Hospital and Jessie MacPherson Private Hospital will Go-Live with the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) from Tuesday 15 October.

If you have not done so already, we are reminding employees at Casey, Kingston and Moorabbin, who provide patient care, to please complete the EMR ‘View Only’ module via LATTE, now.

Instructions on how to access your training can be found in the Accessing EMR View Only via LATTE QRG.

Similar to Dandenong and Cranbourne, when the EMR is live at our Clayton sites, all inpatients will have a record created for them in the EMR.

Patients from our five ‘live’ sites will not travel with a full paper record when they are transferred to our currently ‘non-live’ sites; Casey, Kingston and Moorabbin. Patients will transfer with a summarised report and the remainder of the information you will require to care for them will be on the EMR.

Once you have viewed their admission information on the EMR, you will then document care for the patient at Casey, Kingston or Moorabbin on paper.

By completing the View Only module you will be confident and capable to log onto the EMR and view the most up-to-date information on existing patient records. Completing your EMR View Only training will mean you are ready to provide safe and seamless care for patients already on the EMR.

This module and associated quiz will take only approximately 60 minutes to complete, with feedback from your colleagues who are already using the View Only functionality being very positive to date.

Please note, whilst you are required to complete the View Only module now, you can complete the remainder of your e-Learning prior to your face-to-face training.

If you have any queries or concerns, please discuss these with your manager.
