Large turnout for Dandenong family violence walk

Monash Health employees joined with members of the community to participate in the Greater Dandenong Walk Against Family Violence today in the lead up to the 16 Day of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, starting next week.

Teams from Refugee Health and the Family Violence Unit joined over 500 members of the community, who walked from Dandenong Market to Harmony Square to hear from guest speakers and survivor advocates.

The walk happens at this time each year to show the community is united in opposing violence against women and children and supporting those who have experienced violence.

To hear more about what we are doing to support those experiencing family violence, attend the Monash Health event ‘You CAN ask that’ this Monday 25 November; International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.
