Cheyne Chalmers Farewell

On Thursday 21 November, the senior Nurse and Midwife managers farewelled Chief Nursing and Midwifery Officer, Cheyne Chalmers, at the Christmas Leadership Breakfast.

Throughout this event we reflected on all of Cheyne’s remarkable achievements over the last ten years, and a touching tribute was given with not a dry eye in the house.

“You’ve led and supported so many initiatives across Monash Health with many of these directly influencing nursing and midwifery managers in a positive way. From the development of a nursing and midwifery strategy, the implementation of full-time supernumerary nurse and midwife managers, Nurse Manager education strategies and offsite retreats. Your passion for ongoing education and the development nursing as a profession shines through with everything that you do.” said Jo Morey, Director of Clinical Operations.

We wish Cheyne all the best in her new role in New Zealand and thank her for her contribution to Monash Health nursing and midwifery.
