As in previous years, Monash Health will reduce its planned clinical activity as a result of reduced demand for clinical services during the Christmas and New Year period. This allows people to take some well-deserved leave.
Some of our clinical services will either temporarily close or reduce their capacity during this time. There will be no impact on our emergency or critical services, which will continue as usual.
Monday 23 December – Monday 6 January (All sites)
Planned clinical activity will be reduced during this period. Please refer to the Operational Plan (attached) to see what this means for your site or clinical area.
Monday 6 January – Tuesday 28 January (All sites)
From Monday 6 January normal clinical services will progressively resume, with a full clinical service profile in place from Tuesday 28 January 2020.
Sunday 22 Dec 2019 to Monday 6 January 2020 (Moorabbin / Clayton Inpatient Clinical Services only)
Care usually provided by Ward 2 and Surgical Ward at Moorabbin Hospital will be provided at Monash Medical Centre Clayton between Sunday 22 December 2019 until Monday 6 January 2020. During this period Ward 2 and Surgical Ward will have reduced services and Ward phones will not be attended. Most other services will continue to operate at Moorabbin Hospital with the exception of Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. For full details please see here.
