We’re continually looking to improve how we use our resources across the organisation.
As part of this, we have reviewed our use of printers, multifunction printers, copiers, scanners, fax machines and high-volume printers and identified several key ways we can be more resourceful and environmentally friendly.
What’s happening?
Over the next six months, we will work with our appointed contractor Ricoh to review and update a number of printers across the organisation based on age, physical condition and usage.
We will audit the printing devices to ensure the right resources are in the right place.
Where appropriate, printers will be installed with a ‘PaperCut’ solution which will allow secure print and release capability from any printer and site across the Monash Health network using existing employee ID cards. This will significantly enhance confidentiality and limit waste.
When will our printer be replaced?
You may start to see Ricoh representatives reviewing printers shortly. We will begin rolling out the new printers over the next six months and will provide further information to your team as we progress.
By reducing the amount of paper we consume as an organisation, we will continue to lessen our environmental impact and become a more sustainable organisation.
