Get your body in harmony – win some fruit and veg

As we head towards Harmony Day and Harmony Week – a celebration of Australia’s cultural diversity – the Health and Wellbeing Team is keen to know about your best cultural dish where vegetables are the hero.

One of the wonderful features of Harmony Week is people from different cultural backgrounds gathering together to share food. It is often acknowledged as a wonderful way to get conversations started, see the similarities and differences in cultures and of course eat great meals together.

Teams across Monash Health are encouraged to embrace Harmony Week, pick a day, and share a meal together where everyone brings in something inspired by their cultural background. This year we’d love people to bring their vegetable-inspired dishes and share the recipes.

Health and Wellbeing Coordinator, Gaynor Henderson, is really keen to hear about your best vegetable recipes, which we can share across the organisation to inspire others. What better way to increase the number of vegetables in your diet, than trying a few tasty, new recipes.

Your recipe could help win your team one of five $50 fruit and vegetable boxes, delivered to your work area.

The best recipes will be shared on the Monash Care intranet pages.

Please submit your recipe, along with a story about your recipe, to Gaynor.henderson@monashhealth.org by Monday 23 March.
