New Workforce Mobilisation Team for COVID-19 response

To coordinate the workforce challenges associated with managing and meeting the demands of the COVID-19 response, we are establishing a Workforce Mobilisation Team.

The team will include members from the existing Monash Bureau, Talent Acquisition and Monash Doctors Workforce functions and will be supplemented with discipline-based subject matter experts (SME) and other clinical support services.

The team will coordinate our workforce supply and demand challenges and work with the SME discipline leads to mobilise our resources where they are most needed.

With some of our services reduced or temporarily ceased, and others requiring increased resources to manage additional demand, the team is working to shift resources accordingly and reassign employees without clinical duties to high need areas. They have also identified a number of potential partner organisations to supplement our workforce if required.

Managers you should contact the team if:

  • you have a service that is temporarily closed or reduced and have team members that can be reassigned
  • you have a requirement for additional resources due to leave or extra demand for your services

These are challenging times and we are working through issues we have not confronted before, so please understand the team may not have immediate answers to all questions and our position on issues may need to change as the situation changes.
