Advice for people over 70s, over 60s with a chronic condition, over 50 and Aboriginal people

The Victorian Government has advised that people aged over 70, aged over 60 with pre-existing conditions, or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged over 50 should stay at home wherever possible for their own protection.

For Monash Health employees this means you should self-isolate if you are:

  • over 70 years of age
  • over 60 years of age with a chronic condition
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people over 50 years of age

If you think you may be affected, please discuss your options with your manager.

Options include working from home, accessing personal leave, annual leave, Long Service Leave or Leave Without Pay.
