New ‘Call a Psychologist’ service to support your wellbeing

From today our employees will have the option of additional psychological first aid and emotional support with Monash Health psychologists offering a new service – Call a Psychologist.

With the rising number of COVID-19 cases across our community and its subsequent impact on our health service, it is understandable that the level of anxiety and pressure will be heightened for each of us.

It is important that we look after our mental health and well-being during these unprecedented times as the outbreak and the way we respond is rapidly changing.

Monash Health has established a dedicated Call a Psychologist service which will go live today and operate initially from 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday. This service is additional to existing EAP services.

Call a Psychologist is a free and confidential service to all Monash Health employees provided by Monash Health psychologists.

It provides the opportunity to pause, receive emotional support and promote self or group efficacy. Sessions can be provided in person or by teleconference.

If you think you can benefit from the Call a Psychologist service, call 0418 905 414.

The health of our employees is of paramount importance and we will continue to support you through services and resources which can be accessed online at any time – in or out of work – via https://coronavirus.monashhealth.org/

The EAP will continue to provide all its existing services to you and your family members also.

The EAP can be accessed by calling 1300 687 327 or through the EAP portal.
