The posting of a verified COVID-19 PCR result for a given patient will automatically generate a “COVID-19 PCR Result Available” communication activity that will display in the EMR on Care Compass and Launchpoint.
On receipt of this communication, the nurse must:
- contact the treating medical team to review the result and
- mark this activity as done as per the EMR as per protocol
