Scrubs for patient-facing employees in high risk and COVID+ areas

As a special employee safety measure, scrubs will be provided by Monash Health to patient-facing employees in high-risk areas and COVID+ wards and assessment wards.  High-risk areas include ICUs, Emergency Departments and birthing suites.

Scrubs will be provided at points where you will be able to get changed at the start and end of shift.

The provision of scrubs will commence being rolled out this weekend in a staged approach.  Individual areas will receive local communications with the details.

Scrubs will only be provided for the specified areas; please respect this.

For employees outside the wards and work areas being allocated scrubs, there are some key safety actions you can take with your uniform when you get home such as storing your work shoes in a plastic box by your home’s entry point, washing your work clothes at the hottest possible setting and cleaning all the items you bring into your home (phone, keys, ID, glasses etc.).
