As we work through plans for the re-opening of more services for the community, we will still have some downtime in various parts of the health service. Now could be a good time for a break, before an expected increase in workloads.
Taking time to switch off and recharge fully – even if you are doing it at home – can be quite beneficial to maintaining your coping mechanisms in the long term.
We’ve heard from our experts in recent weeks, that looking after your basic needs, including getting rest, eating well and making time to unwind, are important elements of coping with anxiety or distress.
If you have leave available, you may wish to speak to your manager and see if it’s possible to take leave in your work area at this time.
