As of today, people aged 12 years and over who live in metropolitan Melbourne and Mitchell Shire will be required to wear a face covering when leaving home, unless an exemption applies.
When arriving for work, it is expected you will be wearing your own face covering. You can travel to work wearing any kind of face covering. If working in a clinical area, switch to a medical-grade mask provided at the entrance or your department/ward. Don’t forget to bring a zip lock bag to safely store your reusable mask to take back home.
This morning, Chief Executive Andrew Stripp and Chief Medical Officer Dr Anjali Dhulia were on site at Clayton to help hand out masks and to keep hands sanitised.

If you’re unsure about when and how to wear a mask, visit the protecting yourself and others page of the COVID-19 website for Monash Health employees to learn more about the use of surgical masks for all clinical employees and to learn more about face coverings.
