We are seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from Registered and Enrolled Nurses to assist with the emerging challenge in local private aged care facilities. This is a critical time in the aged care sector, and Monash Health has mobilised a team to provide operational support for private aged care facilities within our catchment during COVID-19 outbreaks.
This is in collaboration with experts from both the Australian and Victorian Governments, the Public Health Unit, and the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission.
Suitably qualified applicants will form part of a Monash Health ‘Rapid Response Team’ who will be deployed to affected residential aged care facilities to assist for up to two weeks or more. Priority will be to triage and stabilise clinical care to ensure the continued and safe delivery of care to residents.
Once the facility has stabilised, they will return to their regular operations, and the Rapid Response Team will move to another facility if required.
Monash Health takes the safety of our employees seriously, and full personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided with Monash Health precautions being introduced and followed at each facility while our employees are on site.
Participation in this program will not prevent you from working your existing shifts at a Monash Health site, unless safety protocols or contact procedures require you to locate at a single site or home.
This is a rare opportunity for our talented and compassionate nurses to assist in Monash Health’s crisis support to protect our most vulnerable Victorians.
To express your interest in participating in this program, please complete the Google form here.
Details will also be emailed to all nurses and midwives in the next 24 hours.
