Checking in to break rooms and shared spaces just got a lot easier. To ensure the safety and wellbeing of our on-site employees, we have updated some of the ways you check-in and use our shared spaces.
These include the introduction of updated signage, safety checklists and a simplified online check-in process via QR Code or URL.
To ensure we are compliant with the latest Government directions, it is critical that rooms are not exceeding their capacity and that personal and hand hygiene etiquette is being observed at all times.
If you are entering a shared space, such as a break room, shared desk space or meeting room, please ensure you are following these simple steps:
Break rooms
- Check room capacity is not exceeded (refer to door signage).
- On entry, perform hand hygiene. In clinical areas, remove and clean your face shield and either hang it up or carry it with you.
- Scan in on your smartphone using the QR Code provided on the posters or visit monashhealth.org/sharedspaces to complete your shared space check-in.
- Maintain physical distancing and personal hygiene etiquette.
- Remove your mask ONLY if you are eating or drinking.
- If there is spillage, clean surfaces with supplied product.
- Complete hand hygiene and apply a clean mask.
Meeting rooms and shared desk spaces
- Check room capacity and desk availability.
- On entry, perform hand hygiene. In clinical areas, remove and clean your face shield and either hang it up or carry it with you.
- Scan in on your smartphone using the QR Code provided on the posters or visit monashhealth.org/sharedspaces to complete your shared space check-in.

In high-risk areas such as COVID or suspected-COVID wards, alternate check-in methods may be utilised to check-in, e.g. paper-based template.
Data collected from the check-in form will support efficient contact tracing if required.
