Monash Health supports decreased employee movement across our sites to reduce risk of COVID-19 cross infection. In line with the Commonwealth’s guiding principles, working across sites within residential aged care facilities has ceased.
Working across sites outside of residential aged care is minimised as much as possible, however, in order to effectively deliver services to our community, some movement remains necessary.
Employees and managers must carefully consider if movement is required for the individual’s role.
Where safe and effective alternatives such as WebEx, alternate rostering or other mechanisms are suitable, these should be used in place of working between sites.
Where it is not possible to completely cease working between sites, all precautions should be taken to minimise potential for cross infection. These include: not attending any site if unwell, daily completion of employee attestation, correct use of PPE and adherence to hand hygiene. If working in Monash Health-supplied scrubs, these must be removed and left behind prior to leaving any Monash Health site.
